The concept
of community-based rehabilitation (CBR) was proposed in
late seventies around the same time as the Alma Ata
conference, that proposed the primary health care concept.
Since then the concept of CBR has evolved greatly and in many
different ways.
This course
provides basic information about community-based
rehabilitation (CBR) projects and illustrates some specific
aspects of a few CBR projects supported by AIFO/Italy. Thus,
this course present's AIFO's particular view of CBR.
