Leprosy
is a chronic
infectious disease caused by leprosy bacillus. It can
affect people of any age and sex, including infants.
Though
it is an infectious disease, most people will not catch the infection
even if they come in contact with it. Not all leprosy patients are
infective.
Leprosy
can be completely cured without leaving any sign on the body, if
diagnosed and treated early.
