Play exercises for improving control of movements (3): 

3. Exercises with finger movements: By using the fingers to drum on a table to make rhythmic sound.

Another way can be to make the sound with a spoon or some other object held in the hand.

These are only some examples of improving child's control over the body movements and for improving the body coordination. You can think of many more examples of play exercises for this purpose.
