Children with
disability need to play
and to have friends like all the children.
As a child, interacting
with others is an important part of our growing up. Feeling the touch of a mother, seeing the smile
on the face of elder sister or brother, hearing the words of love from
parents are all examples of interaction between a new born
child and the family.
As child
grows, other interactions such as playing with friends of
similar age, imagining to be a soldier or a
queen or a prince, touching others becomes common.
All these
interactions are necessary for all children including children
with disabilities.
To be loved,
to feel secure, to make friends and to play with them is a right
of each child,
including children with disability.
