Jakarta Post interviewed Dr Lobo.
Have a look at the attached page on the paper's web site. Dr Lobo clearly deviates from
the new Global Strategy of WHO. He
is promoting 'elimination' at district level!
A
statement like 'But in the last three to four years WHO has found
about 15,000 to 16,000 new cases every year in Indonesia' may not
be appreciated by the Indonesian health services that actually did the
work.
I
fear that we shall have to cope with the elimination fallacy as long
as funding is being made available to WHO.
