Dear Dr. Noto,
Thanks for circulating the
much awaited document "Global Strategy for Further
Reducing the Leprosy Burden and Sustaining Leprosy Control Activities
(Plan period: 2006 – 2010)" (LML June 26th, 2005).
I hope this document would
answer many questions raised by LML members over the past several months
and bring some hope to leprologists and leprosy patients.
Now what is more important is
that this document will reach to the policy makers, programme
managers and donors of endemic countries as early as possible to
develop suitable sustainable strategies and sustain political
commitment for the Leprosy programme.
LML members and medical
professional associations should take initiative to reach
this document to all those who are concerned.
