Dear Dr Noto,
I am writing to you as immediate past president of
IAL.
I agree in full with views expressed
by Dr Ganapati (LML Nov. 25th, 2005). It seems that Dr Salafia knew
about the conference held at Agra. If he had any problems he could
have contacted IAL office bearers directly. He waited for the conference
to be over and then brought out the subject in International forum. I do not know what is his
intention, as his problem would have been sorted out at local level.
Somebody interested in activities of IAL is always
welcome but proper forum is to be used to solve minor personal
problems. I had organised
IAL conference in 1995 in Pune and had faced problems with Dr Salafia
who wanted to present more than 15 papers himself for which our
Scientific Committee did not agree. After informing him he never
attended the said conference.
I write this specially as academic body like IAL
should not be brought in picture and its name should not be spoilt for
somebody’s personal grievances.
