Dear Dr Noto

 

You will find in attachment the trends of leprosy in Gabon.  Some data have been recently actualised.  Few data still available for the years 2001 and 2002, so the numbers of new cases of those two years are poorly representative in the analysis of the trends. 

 

The trends of new cases do not indicate any significant evolution since ten years.  Diagnosis seems us to be late.  It is necessary to perform a real integration of the activities (earlier diagnosis of leprosy, PCT and POD) overall the country.
