Dear Wim,

 

Thank you very much for your message and comments (LML July 22nd, 2006).  I think that there is an urgent need for a new text on leprosy. It will be welcome and, its success will depend upon its contents.

 

The feedback requested by Ms Lord (LML July 21st, 2006) is about the need for it and I think the answer is yes.  Other options may be important too.  We may discuss the two options you wrote about, they are both very interesting and, if feasible, I hope they will become reality.  But a debate about the possible options is a different debate. 

 

If the knowledge, the experience and I would say also the wisdom necessary to write a new text on leprosy were available, I really hope that we will soon see it.
