 Dear Dr Noto,

As far as I know about the information that Mr. Kokubu (LML Oct. 25^th, 2006) wants to know is still a puzzle that Prof. Jiang Cheng wants to solve under the support of SASAKAWA Memorial Health Foundation.  Because of the too long period of the event happened in Guangdong of China, Prof. Jiang Cheng only partly found the particulars of that story.  The same about those old leprosaria at the early 30s' last century.  

 

I would like to recommend Prof. Angela Ki Che LEUNG; she is working at Institute of History and Philology Academia Sinica in Taiwan China.  Prof. Jiang and me accompanied her to visit some leprosaria in mainland China when she visited China two years ago.  She is also an authority on the history of leprosy in China.  Her email address is kcleung@gate.sinica.edu.tw
