Thank you for mentioning the book by Brandsma and Schwarz (LML Jan. 30^th, 2006).

 

I would like your readers to realize that THE FACT THAT Leprosy in the title need not put off other Plastic and aesthetic surgeons.  The contents are completely applicable to anyone dealing with neuropathies; e.g. congenital and inherited problems and diabetes especially ulcers and fractures feet.  The copies that my non leprosy colleagues have seen have captivated some of them so I am selling some here in Australia to the local surgeons.

 

I do not know of any other book that is so practical  in dealing with  such a big variety of problems due to motor and sensory nerve abnormalities.  Many of these problems are not dealt with adequately in other volumes.

 

Yes, I may have my name of a couple of chapters but can name many clinicians who are growing to like it more and more.  I do wish I had had something like it in 1960 when I started to do this type of surgery on my own.
