Dear Salvatore,
I note that the discussion of Dapsone is mostly
in a Leprosy context. It
is still much prescribed by dermatologists for a wide range of
diseases and still has a role in Malaria prophylaxis. Since PUB.MED has more than
4000 references the often asked questions, "How does it work and
is it safe? "might begin by asking is there something special
about its role in leprosy? What
too is the determinant of race, geography and eating habits? Before throwing it out we
should also ask whether its low cost is in its favour?
