Dear Dr Noto,
It is not difficult to understand these
figures, at least in Brazil. The
Leprosy Elimination Programme by the year 2000 and 2005 "eliminated
the detection of many new leprosy cases".
Unfortunately the patients
are there and disabilities will certainly increase in the near future.
