This message is in reply to Sian Higgins request for Self Care materials (LML October 23rd, 2007).

 

NLR and other ILEP members in Nigeria along with the National TB and Leprosy Control Programme in Nigeria are preparing a manual in how to set up and run self care groups.  The material in the manual is based on our own experience in establishing self care groups in NLR and TLM assisted states in Nigeria.  It can easily be adapted and translated for use in other countries.  There is already a plan to translate into French and Portuguese when the English version is finalised.

 

The English manual should be ready by November.
