Dear Salvatore,
I noticed many messages referring the use
of thalidomide in ENL. As
I could understand from the message of Dr. Vijayakumaran,
thalidomide is available in India.
I am from Brazil, where thalidomide is
currently available for the treatment of ENL. As we have many discussions
about regulation of this drug, I would like to have the
following information from our colleagues in India (and if
possible from other countries too).
Is thalidomide produced in India or
imported from another country?
Is it sold at pharmacies or is it
dispensed only in special governmental programmes?
Is there any specific regulation for
prescribing and dispensing the drug?
