Dear Dr. Noto,

 

The leprosy elimination “pushers” are making quite a lot of emotional noise against the position taken in a very technical and professional way by the national leprosy control programme in Brazil , which I personally support.  There are other voices also supporting the Brazilian official position, many of them have circulated already in the leprosy mailing list (LML).  Here you have one more: Dr Wagner Nogueira, from São Paulo , who has allowed me to forward his letter to the LML (please see the enclosed paper in Portuguese).
