Dear Dr Ariyawansa,

 

Thank you for sharing your case (LML June 22^nd, 2009) with us.  I think serious consideration needs to be given to the possibility of dapsone hypersensitivity reaction - typically the onset is within 6 weeks of starting dapsone and the presentation is consistent with your description.
