I
refer to Dr Warren’s message dated LML Sept.
29th, 2010. I am
not aware of any other report of clofazimine resistant leprosy in a
patient apart from the one published by Titia Warndorff in an
Ethiopian patient in 1982. This
was published as a case report in the International Journal of
Leprosy:- “Titia
Warndorff-van Dieden, “Clofazimine-resistant leprosy, a case
report” International journal of leprosy and other mycobacterial
diseases, volume 50, number 2 June
1982.”
In
that case (which I was privileged to see), there was only the clinical
evidence to go by.
