His Excellency  The Honourable Governor of the State of West Bengal is expected  to inaugurate the Session along with the kind presence of the Honourable Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare  & State Cabinet  Minister of Health & Family Welfare namely Mr. Dinesh Trivedi & Dr. Surya Kanta Mishra respectively. , Dr. V M Katoch, Past President, Indian Association of Leprologists (Secretary, Dept. of Health Research, Ministry  of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India & Director General, Indian Council for Medical Research) will give away the Theme Address &  Dr. G N Rao (Chairman, L V Prasad Eye Hospital, Hyderabad & Past President, IAPB) will deliver the Concluding Remarks.

An expected number of  one thousand delegates from five continents of the world will participate in these two days vibrating sessions  to interact with the major issues of Community Ophthalmology  at this crucial  midpoint of  the launch of VISION 2020, the Global Initiative for Prevention of Blindness , The Right to Sight.
